White teapot with handle - black stoneware

Piece description and production

The teapot is made of black stoneware, wheel-thrown with a spout and handle attached after an initial drying stage and trimming of the body.

The teapot is fired for the first time.

It is then glazed in white and fired a second time at nearly 1280°.

Its design and dimensions give this piece a Japanese-inspired silhouette—in fact, the wooden handle was brought back from a trip to Japan.
